Head Boys Varsity Crew Coach

Head Boys Varsity Crew Coach:

Founded by George Washington Copp Noble in 1866, Noble and Greenough School is a rigorous academic community dedicated to motivating and inspiring students to achieve their highest potential and to lead lives characterized by service to others. A co-educational, non-sectarian day and boarding school for students in grades seven (Class VI) through twelve (Class I), Nobles has a current enrollment of just over 600 students–including approximately 50 five-day boarders.

Nobles seeks an experienced educator to lead our boys varsity crew team. For this position, the successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, a strong background working as a rowing coach and educator, at least three to five years of experience working at a secondary school, college, or university, and a passion for working with adolescents. In addition to coaching and mentoring student-athletes, crew coaches also work with the rest of the coaching staff to maintain our boathouse and fleet and administer our program.

We seek candidates who would bring a desire for ongoing professional improvement, a diversity of backgrounds and experiences, and a demonstrated commitment to young people. This position may be a full-time or part-time appointment, depending on teaching qualifications outside of crew and athletics.

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, successful athletic department and upper-school faculty that value the teaching of skill development, engage in ongoing pedagogical innovation, and foster positive student-teacher relationships. This position may be a full-time or part-time appointment, depending on a candidate’s teaching qualifications for programs outside of crew and athletics.

Please address your application to Alex Gallagher, Director of Athletics.

Application deadline is March 9, 2018.
