Varsity Girls Soccer

The Program

The Nobles Girls Soccer Program is rich in history and tradition, though success on the field is not the only measurement for this program. We most pride ourselves on the relationships between our players and the relationships they have with their coaching staff. The philosophy of the program centers around developing not only the soccer player but the person. With a team before self mentality, the older players provide great mentorship for their younger teammates and guide the team to push each other to work hard. High school years are formulating for the development of character, and we do not take that lightly. We take preparation very seriously. We train hard and push ourselves farther than we think we can- and have fun doing it!

The Varsity

The Varsity team has traditionally been one of the strongest programs in New England and is coming off of a New England Championship in 2010. Nobles competes in the ISL (Independent School League) which is comprised of many of the top independent schools in the Boston area. The team has had a string of successful seasons, including nine straight trips to the New England Class A tournament. In 2003 and in 2008, Nobles won the New England Class A Championship and were the second seed in the '06, '07 and ‘09 New England Class A Tournaments. In 2006 and 2007, the team was ISL co-champions, and the solo champions in 2008, 2009, and 2011, which marked the eighth time in the last eleven years that the Dawgs have at least shared the ISL title.

The team plays an exciting brand of soccer centered around possession, high pressure and smart attacking play. All levels of the program work toward playing a similar style. In recent years, former players have played at the college level at schools including Harvard, Brown, Middlebury, Colby, Bowdoin, Trinity, Michigan, Bates, Wellesley, Davidson, Washington University/St. Louis, Boston College, Cornell, Fairfield, and Babson.

Coaching Information
