Nobles Young Graduate Award Description

Created in 2011, this award is given annually to a recent graduate who models the spirit and values of Noble and Greenough School as set forth in its mission statement. Through professional, academic, and/or volunteer roles, the recipient has demonstrated leadership for the public good and a commitment to serving others. 

 

Qualifications:

  • The recipient will have shown more than a passing interest in service.
  • The recipient will have graduated in the past 15 years.
  • Members of the Young Graduate Committee (YGC) are ineligible recipients.

 

Selection Process:

Each spring, nominations are solicited from graduates, class correspondents and faculty to be reviewed by the YGA. From the list of nominees, the YGC selects up to five semifinalists to present to the Nominating Committee, which selects the final recipient(s).

 

Award Logistics:

  • Award: A plaque will be hung in Shattuck Schoolhouse. The current year’s recipient will be highlighted with a photograph and write-up. Previous years’ recipients will be archived on a similar or connected plaque.
  • Ceremony: The recipient will be honored in Assembly and will provide acceptance remarks.
  • Communication: A photograph and write-up on the recipient will appear in a Bulletin article and on the award webpage.
