Playing for the first time in Berkshire’s sparkling new double rink complex, Nobles beat Berkshire 3-0 on the strength of Denna Laing’s second hat trick in three games. Laing scored twice in the first period, the first time (assisted by Caitlin Fai) with a backhander off a rush down the middle and the second time (assisted by Molly Parizeau) by snapping a wrist shot upper short side after a rush down the right side. She completed her hat trick in the second period when she tipped in a Jackie Young slap shot (Kaleigh FitzPatrick received the other assist). Defensively, Young, Laing, FitzPatrick, Michelle Picard, Lauren Fitzgerald, and Sarah Duncan did an excellent job in the second period when Nobles got into serious penalty trouble. In goal, Taylor Blake made 18 saves for her eighth shutout as Nobles improved to 8-1-3 overall.
