I try to get in early each morning so that I can get some work done before the students arrive.
When they do arrive, I want to be able to have my office door open. Being with the students is the best part of my day. While some suggest that I should have my head examined for choosing to spend my days with Middle School aged students, I think they have it all wrong: there is no more interesting time to be involved in the lives of kids.
Middle schoolers carry with them an energy that is contagious. They are exceedingly able and hungry for real work, not busy work. They are problem solvers, doers and creators. They make wonderful discoveries and mind-boggling mistakes. It is up to the caring adults here at Nobles to make sure that the students learn from both.
Please contact me with any questions about the Middle school or, better yet, come visit in person.
