Science Week 2015

ACADEMIC Jan 8, 2016

Nobles celebrated Science Week 2015 with presentations from physics, biochemistry and robotics students.

The week began with this year’s Great Machine project, “Castle Siege 1015 A.D.”  Advanced Projects in Physics students modeled a medieval castle siege in a series of five integrated acts, including drawbridges, dragons and slingshots.

At the Biochemistry Research Poster Session, students presented their research findings while envisioning possible applications as various as human gene therapy, cancer treatment, SPF testing and tracing evolutionary species.

Then, Robotics students competed to create the most efficient Ping-Pong ball-gobbling robot in a Hungry Hungry Hippos-style game.
