It Takes Brains to Know Something by Bob Henderson, Head of School

In the fall of 1973 I arrived as a brand new member of Class III at Noble and Greenough School. I was not entirely sure I wanted to be at the school, as I was leaving behind a very close group of friends in my hometown, as well as a carefully established identity as a soccer player.

I remember the day our daughter Abby (now 21 and a senior in college) was cut from a soccer team at age 12. She had been with the club for a couple of years, enjoyed the game, seemingly had improved, worked hard, and developed healthy friendships with her teammates.
