Residential Facility
The new 25,000 square-foot dormitory was built by Shawmut Design and Construction and designed by ARC/Architectural Resources Cambridge, Inc. Built to look and feel like a house, the wood-framed structure houses 48 students in 24 double-occupancy bedrooms and accommodates faculty in four residential-style apartments. A main common room serves to connect the two identical wings of the dormitory. The building offers a keyless environment. Each boarding member has a swipe card to access the building, which also records time of entry. The building is wireless and includes 28 laptops for the boarding community.
