Robert College (Istanbul) Exchange

Robert College in Istanbul is the “Nobles of Istanbul”.  RC is a highly selective Turkish independent school (with 100% Turkish students) where English is the language of instruction and roughly ⅓ of graduates matriculate to top American colleges and universities. It is in a beautiful and very safe part of Istanbul (overlooking the Bosphorus Strait) that is somewhat removed from the city center but easily accessible by public transportation. Mr. Snyder spent a week at Robert College during his sabbatical in 2015 and the Nobles and Robert College Model UN teams collaborated during Harvard Model UN Conference last winter. Nobles families also hosted three students from Robert College at the start of the 2017-18 school year.

This year we hope to send three Class III students with a faculty member to Istanbul from roughly March 3 or 4 until March 14 or 15, 2018. This is a “homestay” exchange so Nobles students will stay with Turkish families and then may be asked to reciprocate by hosting here in late August/early September, 2018. Nobles students will visit classes, participate in all school activities, see Istanbul and Turkey and learn about life in “typical” Turkish families.
