Cambodia and Vietnam

The Cambodia/Vietnam trip covers many of the parameters of experiential learning with the added touch of a physical challenge.  We fly into Phnom Penh, spending the first day visiting what was once considered as the loveliest city of Indochina and seeing major sights such as he Royal Palace Complex, the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, dedicated to Khmer art and sculpture.  We will follow that with visits to Toul Sleng Prison and the Cheung Ek Killing Field, where 17,000 people died under the reign of the Khmer Rouge leader, Pol Pot.

For the next 5 days we will do a community service project in Kampot at a local school, getting to our site by bikes.  We will then cross the border into Vietnam and spend 4 days biking in the Mekong Delta before arriving in Saigon where visits to the War Remnant Museum, the Old Saigon Post Office and the Ben Thanh market are a must.  Finally, we will head up to Siem Reap to visit the temples of Angkor Wat before heading back home.

**This trip will not run during the 2017-18 school year.
