China Exchange

Join us during spring break for an unforgettable two-week trip to China, the most populous nation in the world, rich in history, culture, architecture, food and many other aspects. This is a chance to dive in and experience a culture different from Nobles through a combination of exchange with high school students, service learning, and exploration.

The trip will have three distinct parts:

  • Community service at Dandelion School (a charity school for children of migrant workers): Help in English classes and after school program; experience their school life.

  • Exchange with Beijing #57 School: Take mini cultural classes; participate in a homestay with #57 School students and their families; join English classes and cultural activities with #57 School students

  • Explore Beijing and Shanghai: Visit several historic sites in Beijing, including Great Wall (world heritage site), the Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City, and some contemporary sites such as the Bird's Nest 2008 Olympic Stadium. In Shanghai we will visit the Suzhou style Chinese garden Yuyuan, the Jade Buddha Temple, The Huangpu River and the Bund.

**This trip will not run during the 2017-18 school year.
