A Statement from Connie Yepez, Executive Director of Achieve

"As Achieve approaches its fourth summer session, we are proud of all we have accomplished to date. Students have worked hard to expand their base of academic and social skills. Through highly demanding courses in English, math, and science, morning and afternoon community meetings, shaking hands, and enrichment classes, students interact with teachers and staff in a variety of settings. I have been pleased to see the students' high level of commitment to the program, their dedication to their studies, and their genuine enthusiasm for life. Each day, we see their confidence grow and this in turn enables them to stretch beyond their comfort zones. It is also quite gratifying to have such thorough support from the Nobles community. Our hope is to develop and sustain a successful, enriching program and to serve our students for many years to come."

A Statement from Bob Henderson, Nobles Head of School

"Noble and Greenough School is proud and fortunate to host a new, ground-breaking program named “Achieve” for middle school-age (junior high) students who will enjoy six weeks of academic enrichment in the summer and academic tutoring and support year-round. This will complement our highly successful and longstanding Upward Bound program, designed for Upper School students who study math and science under the aegis of Nobles faculty each summer. By providing the same rigorous and nurturing attention to deserving youth earlier in their lives, Nobles hopes to fill an educational void that will enable these students to “achieve” at the level of which they are capable."
