The Upper School Academic Program
At Nobles, we feel a deep sense of obligation to prepare and inspire our students to assume responsibility for every community they enter. To this end, a Nobles student is asked to embrace an academic education characterized by depth and breadth. And during the time between when students first walk through our doors and when they proceed across the stage at graduation to receive their diplomas, they will be mentored and nurtured by faculty who are:
Passionate about their disciplines, their teaching and their advising of adolescents;
Committed to ensuring that our students are exposed to many of the most important ideas, quantitative and qualitative methods, theories, scientific discoveries and works of art, literature and history;
Determined to prepare their students to be successful at outstanding colleges and universities.
The academic program in the upper school begins with a more structured curriculum of skills-based, college-preparatory classes for ninth and tenth graders and concludes in the junior and senior years with a wide array of research, applied-learning and Advanced Placement electives.
