Visual Art and Music
|Greensleeves, Nobles female a cappella group|
Open to students in the Upper Class by audition. The Blues Band performs American blues music from the past 60 years. It utilizes a rhythm section of electric guitars and bass, keyboards, drums and percussion, a full horn section and various vocalists. The group performs in the Winter and Spring Instrumental Concert as well as occasionally in Assembly.
The Jolly Association of Musicians (JAM) club brings together musicians of all instruments and levels. Members of JAM are not required to learn or prepare specific music outside of X-Block, but are encouraged to create music out of spontaneity. JAM’s purpose is to create an environment where students can relieve from schoolwork, and simply enjoy making music.
The Nobleonians are an all-male high school a cappella singing group that has been making music since 1949.
The Open Studio Club focuses on creativity and energy release, as opposed to a structured art class. Members work with all different mediums, ranging from pencils to play dough. It is a fun, relaxing time to meet new people and discover alternative art forms.
The Photography Club seeks to stimulate and encourage the field of photography at Nobles. Through the mentoring advice of faculty as well as peers, we seek to improve the technical and conceptual skill of all participants. Displays throughout the academic year showcases the work of all photographers.
