Tuition & Affordability

Providing a good education is one of the most important gifts. We know that an independent school education is an investment, the cost of which is a factor for some families in making their school decision.

During the 2017–18 school year, Nobles provided more than $5 million in aid to families who qualified for financial assistance, and the average grant was$40,455. Learn more about how financial aid works.

Costs for the 2018–19 School Year

Approximate additional expenses are anticipated for miscellaneous charges such as books, athletic equipment, etc.

Apply for Financial Aid

If your family is interested in applying for financial aid, please follow the process that is outlined below.

1) Submit Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) Online

The PFS must be completed by January 15 so that your family can be considered for financial aid.

To help get you started, download a PDF (English version, Spanish version) of the official PFS Workbook and Instruction Booklet.

If you are applying for the first time, you must create an account; if not, use your existing login and password. Begin a PFS for academic year 2018-19. As a reference guide, we recommend that you download the PFS Workbook and Instruction Booklet. You can log out of PFS Online and then return later to complete your PFS.

Additional documentation such as 2018 W-2 forms and completed tax returns can be submitted at a later time. If you have more than one child applying to Nobles, you only have to complete one financial aid statement.

If you are a current Nobles family not receiving aid, please contact Nan Bussey via email before moving forward in the application process.

For parents who are separated, divorced or were never married, Nobles requires that each parent file a PFS along with additional tax documentation. Parents can be assured that all financial information received from one parent will not be shared with the other.

The fee of $51 is nonrefundable. Once you have paid for and submitted your PFS, our office will receive your information.

After you submit your PFS, you can go back and upload additional documents as well as view your Family Report, which summarizes the information we will receive.

2) Upload tax documents to PFS

You must upload additional tax documentation with your PFS online by March 1. You will need your 2018 Federal Income Tax Return 1040 with all related schedules and all W-2 forms.

3) Complete the 4506-t form

You must mail your completed form to Nobles by March 1. You can download the form from the IRS website.

Financial aid award letters are mailed on March 10. For those who are eligible, you will need to submit your acceptance by April 10.
