Eligibility

Applications are open to practicing artists working in any visual medium. Given the residency’s emphasis on building a collaborative visual arts experience, applicants should demonstrate teaching experience or a high interest in teaching.

Deadlines

Application deadline is February 15, 2018.

Processing Fee

A non-refundable fee of $12 (US) is required with every application. All applications will be submitted online via SlideRoom.

Notification

2018-2019 applicants will be notified of admission status by March 9, 2018.

Artist Biography

Information about your background, training and achievements as an artist and/or educator.

Artist’s Statement

A document not exceeding 300 words that gives context to your submitted work.

References

Contact information for three individuals who can provide reference for your character, teaching ability and achievements as an artist.

Scope of Proposed Work

A description of the work you plan to accomplish and exhibit, as well as information about your media and studio requirements.

Work Sample/Media

Visual Artists: 5-15 images or 2-4 video samples.

Still images should be sRGB .jpg 72 dpi with a maximum long edge of 1024 pixels.

For films or videos, please upload excerpts that do not exceed 5 minutes in length or 120 MB in size. If work is feature length, please include links to locations online when appropriate.

Award of the residency position will be contingent on successful completion of CORI, SORI and criminal background checks in keeping with the policies of Noble and Greenough School. Finalists will be asked to interview as part of the application process.
