Girls Fourths Soccer

Girls Fourths Soccer

Middle school girls soccer allows younger players to develop skills whilst building ties to their classmates early in the year. This camaraderie helps the girls have fun while also playing competitively, modeling what the remainder of their careers in our girls soccer program will look like once they develop further. These young girls are taught to fulfill their potential as both athletes and leaders.

Head Coach At nobles since

At nobles since 2018

Coaching Philosophy: We are not just teaching skills and techniques of the sport we coach; we are teaching skills of teamwork, camaraderie, sportsmanship, resilience and mental toughness. We are teaching players to push themselves to their individual limits and to not be afraid to rely on others for help. We are teaching them that losing is okay and that success takes time. Most importantly, we are teaching them that, in the end, it is only worthwhile if you are learning and finding joy in what you do. So forget the rest and focus on having fun!

Prior Coaching Experience: Coached U18 players and goalkeepers at Vermont Soccer School, grades 7-9 at NMH Summer Session, and grades K-6 at Summit Soccer School in Bristol, VT.

Playing experience: I was a goalkeeper for the Middlebury College Men’s soccer team and played soccer, basketball and lacrosse throughout high school at the varsity level.

Coaching Philosophy: At the middle school level, students come into the soccer season with different levels of playing experience, while also having different goals and aspirations for their soccer careers. We work and challenge each player wherever they are. We can always improve, no matter what. We coach with the team’s best interest in mind first. Not only do we push players to be their best selves, but we strive to teach players how to be good teammates. There are two important elements to our team: how we come together in taking care of one another and how we represent Nobles with hard work and good sportsmanship. It’s about showing up, playing your best, and having fun!

Coaching Tenure: This is my third year coaching MS Girls Soccer.

Playing/Prior Coaching Experience: I played soccer from kindergarten through high school, for town soccer, The Park School, and Nobles. I played soccer at the JV level during my time as a Nobles student and for my town. I coached varsity sailing for three years at Greenwich Academy prior to teaching at Nobles and for one year at Nobles in the spring of 2017.
