This past fall, the athletic teams at Nobles—from the middle school level up to varsity—demonstrated commitment, teamwork and perseverance from the temperate days of September through the noticeable chill of early November. Congratulations to all the teams on their hard work throughout the fall season. Please see below for a recap of the accomplishments of Nobles teams at the varsity level.

Girls Varsity Cross Country

Overall Record: 6-4. In addition, 1 non-league loss to St. Paul’s. 

ISL Record: 6-4. 6th at ISL’s for Varsity; 2nd for JV. 13th at New England’s for varsity; 7th for JV.

Highlight: The majority of the team securing personal records at ISL’s, with a 2nd place team finish for JV. 

Boys Varsity Cross Country

Overall Record: 15-1; 1st in ISL; 3rd in New England Championships

ISL Record: 15-1; ISL Champions

Highlight: Running a host of blazing times and course records on the BB&N course at Fresh Pond, despite an icy deluge.

Varsity Field Hockey

Overall Record: 13-3 in season (14-4 including tournament games)

ISL Record: 9-3

Highlight: Beating Andover 2-1, on their home turf, for the first time in many years.

Varsity Football

Overall Record: 3-5

ISL Record: 3-5

Highlight: Winning our biggest game of the year against Brooks, whose seven-point victory over us last year kept us from making a bowl game.

Girls Varsity Soccer

Overall Record: 10-4-4

ISL Record: 8-2-2

Highlight: Challenging for the top of the ISL against the most competitive Class A NEPSAC teams.

Boys Varsity Soccer

Overall Record: 14-3-2

ISL Record: 11-2-2

Highlight: Overcoming an early setback in the NEPSAC Class B semifinal game for a win against Suffield to advance to the championship game. 

Varsity Volleyball

Overall Record: 7-7

ISL Record: 5-6

Highlight: Playing Thayer for Friday Night Lights and winning 3-0.
