During this year’s opening meetings for faculty and staff, Head of School Cathy Hall, Ph.D., presented the Cora Hidalgo Holland Award to Senior Advancement Officer Allie Trainor. Named after Nobles parent Cora Hidalgo Holland, who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, the award is given annually to honor a staff member whose work has been excellent, whose dedication has been exceptional, and whose character has made Nobles a better place in which to live and work for the entire community.

“Since her journey at Nobles began in 2008, Allie has made a deep and lasting impact on our community,” said Dr. Hall. “I have had the privilege of working with Allie a great deal over the last many years. I have been as impressed by her work ethic as I am by her commitment to growth, as I am by her commitment to our mission. As humble as she is kind, and as witty as she is tenacious, Allie is a colleague you feel lucky to spend time with and someone you know upholds the best parts of the Nobles mission and community.”

Trainor began her Nobles career as a database specialist in the development office. Shortly thereafter, she joined the Annual Nobles Fund team, where she has held roles as assistant director and director.

Chief Advancement Officer George Maley shares that Trainor has been “a stalwart and a force” since she arrived at Nobles. “She takes on every single job, large and small, with enthusiasm and an eye for detail. A passionate fundraiser, her warmth and unwavering commitment to the community have made her a beloved figure among generations of graduates and parents. She has helped establish both our Annual Nobles Fund and our First Class Fund for Faculty as initiatives that are respected and admired by many schools nationally.”

Director of Development Lisa Rose ’90 echoes, “Allie does everything she can to support our students, faculty, staff, and graduates. Her encyclopedic knowledge about our graduates exemplifies how committed she is to Nobles. When you give Allie a project, you know it will not only get done, but it will be handled with a level of care worthy of the situation.”

Senior Advancement Officer Casey Hassenstein captures the depth of Trainor’s dedication and impact within the Nobles community: “For well over a decade, Allie has tirelessly advanced the mission and spirit of Nobles. Her knowledge of our parent and graduate bodies is vast and, most importantly, she remembers the little things—small details and touchpoints about individuals’ lives that have led to the formation of enduring relationships.”
