Kudos to Nobles Class II student Maria Maier, whose passion and talent for writing is earning her some impressive accolades. This year, Maier was awarded two gold medals in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for her poetry collections.
She will be published in the 2012 America Library of Poetry’s youth poetry collection based on a national competition. She was previously published here in 2005, 2007 and 2009. In addition, Maier was shortlisted for the International Tom Howard/ John H. Reid Short Story Contest and hHer work was also selected and published in Creative Communications’ A Celebration of Poets.
