On Thursday, January 12, the Nobles music department presented the winter instrumental concert in Lawrence Auditorium. The concert showcased the middle school string ensemble, middle school wind ensemble, Nobles concert band, upper school string orchestra and Nobles symphony orchestra. The program featured contemporary hits from Taylor Swift and The Beatles, John Williams and Henry Mancini film scores, and classical pieces from European and South American composers. Eric Zou ’23 played the clarinet solo with the symphony orchestra for Carl Maria von Weber’s “Clarinet Concerto in F minor, Op. 73” and the audience erupted into a standing ovation.
