In conjunction with Pratt 108 (the collective visual arts faculty show currently on exhibit), faculty member and artist David Roane held the Foster Gallery's first ever TGIF OPS (Thank Goodness It's Friday-Open Painting Studio)-sponsored workshop.

Roane taught students and colleagues how to transfer their favorite photos onto wood with the combined magic of an ink-jet printer, gel medium, and a plastic card. He showed them creative techniques to make their photos appear "textured and antique, or super-clean and smooth."

The exhibit, Pratt 108, named for the classroom space in which Roane and his colleagues gather when not in their studios, holds its opening reception tonight, January 22, from 5-7:00 p.m.
