Thanks to all of our graduates who voted in the 2022 Trustee election. We had a record number of people cast ballots! Congratulations to Stacy Scott ’77 who was elected as the 2022 Graduate Trustee. 

 

Stacy is a senior lecturer in educational leadership at Boston University, where he teaches strategic planning and educational governance. He has worked as an educator, superintendent of schools, psychologist, executive coach and policy maker on the Massachusetts State Board of Education. At Nobles, he currently serves on the Grads of Color Committee and was a key member of the Grads of Color Task Force in the summer of 2020. Dr. Scott was also the keynote speaker at the 2020 Nwanagu Family Dinner.

The Founder of the Center for Understanding Equity in 2000, Dr. Scott consults globally in business, education and nonprofit settings focused on capacity building, organizational culture, equity and leadership development. His early research focused on adolescent resilience;currently he is focused on innovation, confidence and intuition.

Resourceful and result-oriented, Dr. Scott wrote Making Equity Work as a guide for leaders to manage change, increase equity and improve the performance of students and schools. He is an accomplished facilitator and motivational speaker. Dr. Scott is co-author of The Confidence Project: A Journey Through the Confidence Constellation, which demonstrates how to help children go from resistant to engaged, lifelong learners. In 2017, he founded Global Sustainable, Inc. which supports community development, problem solving and capacity building through a variety of projects and collaborations.
