Thanks to all of our graduates who voted in the 2021 Trustee election. We had a record number of people cast ballots! Congratulations to April N. Watson ’02 who will be joining the Board of Trustees for a three-year term.
April N. Watson is the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Goodwin Procter LLP. She is responsible for guiding the firm’s leadership in expense management and providing analysis and support to the international office chairs in their strategic decision-making and practice management. Before becoming manager, April was a senior financial analyst focused on financial reporting, budgeting and business unit management.
Prior to joining Goodwin, April’s career path included Advent International Corporation by way of Winter Wyman and Liberty Mutual Group. In 2017, she received her MBA from Boston University with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Transformation. April graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University in 2006. She received a B.S. in Finance with Honors and International Relations in affiliation with the Maxwell School of Public Affairs.
April is currently a member of the NAACP Brockton Chapter. Previously, she served as co-executive director of the National Black Women’s Society Inc., a non-profit organization committed to empowering professional women of color in Greater Boston through professional development, civic engagement and networking.
At Nobles, April was a member of MSA as well as Imani. She continues to be involved with Nobles through giving, planning class reunions and most recently as a member of the Grads of Color Task Force, now the Graduates of Color Committee.
