Where would you go if you had a 30- to 40-day vacation and $20,000? Class VI students selected countries including Nepal, Egypt, New Zealand, Italy, Iceland, China and Venezuela. Each spring, Class VI students are charged with planning a comprehensive trip around the world. The two-month interdisciplinary project teaches students how to research, budget, write and think creatively, work independently and manage time. On April 30, students shared their travel experiences and trip highlights with the community during the annual ’Round the World (RTW) night. The student booths displayed itineraries, scrapbooks, journal entries, cultural artifacts and ethnic food samples. See photos below.
