During the week of April 11-15, Nobles students welcomed Tibetan educators Tsering Dolma and Sonam Choephel Bhutia to campus. They collaborated with Nobles faculty and students in history, geography, Chinese and Japanese classes.

With students, they explored aspects of the Tibetan language, tea making, food, culture, songs and prayers. They also introduced the geography of Tibet, its population and educational system, and related their own experiences working with Tibetan refugees in India.

Their visit was made possible by the Fund for Asian Studies established by Stephen Maire '73.
