On Thursday, March 3rd, in honor of Women’s History Month, the Nobles graduate community gathered for the second annual (first in person!) Women of Nobles event at the ’Quin House in Boston for a panel on investment and finance. Panelists included Abbeygale Anderson ’14 from Cross Impact Capital, Yasmin Cruz Ferrine ’02 from Visible Hands VC, Nicole Stata ’87 P’25 ’27 from Boston Seed Capital and Nobles parent Lori Cashman P’23 ’27 from Victress Capital. The panel stressed the value of mentorship and relationship building especially as women make up only a disappointingly small percentage of the industry. They also discussed following your passions, being an interesting person with multiple experiences and learning how to learn from mistakes. During the evening, attendees had meaningful conversations with panelists and each other.
Women of Nobles was established in 2020 to provide graduates who identify as female with events and opportunities for social and professional networking within the Nobles community. We hope that Women of Nobles will help to connect, create new relationships, and increase bonds across generations of Nobles graduates. In 2025, we approach the 50th anniversary of coeducation at Nobles. A long time in the making, we are excited about the momentum of Women of Nobles and events and initiatives going forward.
We are also excited to announce that our 2023 topic will be women in nonprofit management.
