Upper School Core Subjects

We think of our core curriculum as the Nobles rites of passage.

Want to argue politics? Make sure you understand what caused the current climate in the History of the Human Community course. To be or not to be? Find that and many more questions in the English core curriculum. Is “logarithm” just speaking Greek to you? You’ll need some time studying algebra.

By graduation, you’ll take eight credits in English and four in history and social science. You’ll have six math credits and four in science. You’ll have reached at least the third level in a modern language. You’ll also have two credits in the arts, one performing and one visual.

But sharpening your mind takes a lot more than classroom studies. At Nobles, students serve 80 hours of community service and take part in at least 10 seasons of afternoon program before they graduate.
